Most overcoats at this price are cut slim enough that a jacket underneath ruins the line. This one isn’t. The armhole and shoulder are drafted with a layer already in mind, so it works over a suit, a crewneck, or a heavy knit without riding up at the back.
The cloth is a 100% wool melton, dense enough to block wind on its own and hold a press between wears. Fully lined in wool so it slides over sleeves cleanly.

Fit
True to size over a jacket. If you’re between sizes and plan to wear it only over knitwear, size down.
Care
Dry clean only. Brush down after wear with a stiff garment brush to lift surface dirt, and hang on a wide wooden hanger to keep the shoulders in shape. Store with cedar over summer.
